Family Mentor

Family Mentor Teachers help support families, host workshops, and provide one-on-one training.

Sometimes families need additional assistance teaching particular subjects or children with different learning styles. To help you overcome these hurdles, our highly qualified Family Mentors teach free parent workshops and are available to provide support across a variety of subjects.

In addition to the great support from your Supervising Teacher, Horizon Charter Schools’ Family Support Department offers webinars with tips, tricks, and information to increase the success of yoru students. Webinars are provided on a wide range of topics.

In addition to the live webinars, our Family  Mentors provide video resources that you can watch when and where it’s most convenient for you. Topics range from basic math skills to building a growth mindset.

At Horizon, we embrace the fact that each child has a unique learning style and therefore different learning needs. Our Family Mentors help you recognize your child’s individual needs and provide tailored support to help your child achieve their own success.
