Enrollment Information
In order to enroll at Horizon Charter Schools, your student must reside within one of our six servicing counties:
- El Dorado
- Sacramento
- Nevada
- Sutter
- Placer
- Yuba
TK Eligibility for 2026/2027 School Year:
Students must turn 4 by September 1, 2026.
New Families:
- To Create an Account – Click Enroll Now on the Enrollment Page
- You will be sent an email with a link to create a password
- Once you have created a password, you will be able to continue with the registration process
- Your email will be used as the primary address for all school communications, so please be sure to use an email you check daily

Previously Enrolled Families (Enrolling Another student)
- Click on the Registration Button
- If you still have access to your old email address, please enter in the same log in information as you had used when you enrolled with Horizon previously.
- If you are having difficulties logging in (Ex: Password Issues), please reach out to our Enrollment Department for a Password Reset.

For Currently Enrolled Families (Enrolling Another Student/Sibling):
- Log into your Parent Portal and select RegOnline option at the top of the page
- Create a New Application for new school year for your student

Upon receipt of your application, the Enrollment Team will review your documents. If there are any issues or missing documents, they will reach out to the contact information provided to request a new document.

Once all documents have been received, reviewed, and verified, your application portion of the enrollment process is completed.

If you’d like to request a specific ST, please note this on the application under Questions/Comment.
NOTE: Your student enrollment with Horizon Charter Schools is not complete until a Master Agreement has been signed. After your application is reviewed, and if space is available, our Enrollment Team will contact you to schedule an Enrollment Master Agreement Meeting. Once both the parent/guardian and student attend the meeting, review, and sign the Master Agreement, enrollment is finalized.
Enrollment Documents
- Proof of Birth (Required for Age Eligibility):

- Birth Certificate (US/Out of Country)
- Only certified or copy of certified edition. No hospital issued birth certificates.
- Passport
- Statements by the Local Registrar or County Recorder certifying the date of birth
- Baptism certificate duly attested
- Birth Certificate (US/Out of Country)

- Proof of Residency (Required for Service Area Verification): Must meet the following criteria.

- Statement date/beginning date is within 60 days of application
- Full page (must be legible and all four corners visible)
- Name on Proof of Residency must match Parent/Guardian Name on Student Application.
- If you live with someone, please complete the Declaration of Residency to pair with the Proof of Residency
- Document provided must be one of the following:
- Utility Bill (Electricity, Gas, Water, Sewer, Garbage, Internet, Cable)
- Lease Agreement (or Payment Receipts/Statements)
- Mortgage Contract (or Payment Receipts/Statements)
- Property Tax Payments/Statements
- Pay Stubs
- Voter Registration
- Correspondence from Government Agency
- Court Documents (Signed by the Court)

- Immunization Record and/or HCS Immunization Waiver (Required): All students must submit a copy of their immunization record.

- If your student(s) have incomplete immunization records, an HCS Immunization Waiver must be completed and uploaded with the incomplete immunization record.
- If your student(s) have no immunization, an HCS Immunization Waiver must be completed and uploaded in the place of the immunization record.

- Oral and Health Records: Required for students entering Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten (K) & 1st grades (who have never attended another public CA school). Parents must complete the oral health and CHDP health forms.

- . Report Cards/Transcripts
- For Grade 9th-12th: Submit either an Official or Unofficial Transcript
- If enrolling mid-year, please provide Report Card/Progress Report (to show current courses) with Transcript
- (TK-8) Report Cards may be requested by the Enrollment Team for Grade Level Determination
- For Grade 9th-12th: Submit either an Official or Unofficial Transcript
- Copy of 504 plan or current IEP (if applicable): Please submit all pages of either 504 plan or IEP
- Court Documents (if applicable): Please provide the most recent complete copy of any guardianship documents, custody orders, restraining orders, or other court documents that may affect your student’s educational plan.
- Once your application is complete, you will be notified by the admissions team, be offered a conference to discuss the program with a credentialed teacher, and be assigned a supervising teacher (ST). The ST will contact you within 1-2 school days to schedule your initial meeting.
In accordance with Education Code Section 47605(e)(4)(B), the Charter School shall not request a pupil’s records or require a parent, guardian, or pupil to submit the pupil’s records to the Charter School before enrollment.
