Flexible, Tuition-Free Learning for Transitional Kindergarten–Grade 2
The TK–2 Eaglet Academy at Horizon Charter Schools provides a nurturing, personalized start to school, combining flexible, home-based learning with the structure and support of caring, credentialed teachers and a 100% tuition-free public charter school.
Since 1993, Horizon has partnered with families across Northern California to deliver student-centered education aligned to California state standards.

Every student in the TK–2 Academy follows a personalized learning plan designed around their readiness, interests, and learning pace, while staying aligned to California standards. This approach helps students build confidence and a positive relationship with learning from the start.

- Small live intervention groups (as needed)
- Live enrichment classes
- A Parent Mentor for added family support
- Access to educational partners and specialists
Enrichment, Socialization & Learning Beyond the Home
Horizon provides families with annual instructional funds to support high-quality learning experiences beyond core academics.
Students may participate in:
