Learning Together is More Fun and Beneficial
Parent Liaison Creates a Social Network for You and Your Kids
Over the years, parents have confided in us that one of their biggest concerns about homeschooling is a lack of socialization for their children. To alleviate that fear, our Parent Liaison coordinates activities and events that bring Horizon Charter School (HCS) families together.
Our Parent Liaison also keeps families informed about HCS-organized events and study trips to locations throughout our six-county region and Northern California, because many students hands-on reinforcement. We also realize that an important part of your child’s educational process is learning how to interact with others in a variety of situations. So, throughout the year, our hard-working and talented Parent Liaison.
Orchestrates family meet-ups at parks, zoos, and other venues where children can connect with other HCSchildren in a relaxed yet controlled, age-appropriate and educationally beneficial environment while building life-long relationships based on shared interests.
If you are looking for things to do as a family, our Parent Liaison can help with that, too. She has her finger on the pulse of community and homeschool activities and can point you in the right direction, including special programs for homeschoolers at area attractions and community service projects.
