In a letter to all Horizon Charter Schools families, Dr. Cynthia Wood, EdD, CEO, Horizon Charter Schools Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer, announced that beginning July 1, 2016, Horizon Charter Schools increases student funding.
Elementary students will receive a total of $2,600 and high school students will receive $2,800. That’s an increase of $1,000 per student per school year! In addition, family funds may be shared among students within the immediate family.
To assist parents with teaching particular subjects or working with children with different learning styles, we are adding a Parent Educator position. We will be adding a Parent Liaison to help bring Horizon Charter Schools families together, too.
Also coming this fall are computer/wifi availability and ebook subscriptions.
Although we continue to innovate and improve our services, families can rest assured they will continue to benefit from caring relationships with their Supervising Teachers, support staff, and administrators; parent workshops and training; field/study trips, events and activities; a well-stocked curriculum resource center; enrichment classes; and an extensive, parent-driven educational partners list.
