Our next series of Horizon family workshops focuses on supporting student creativity and problem solving with a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) projects.
Workshops are open to all Horizon Charter Schools families. I encourage students of all age levels to attend this FREE, hands-on workshop with their parent(s). An adult must accompany children at all times.
Through fun activities, parents will learn to:
- Develop prototypes to problem solve using recyclables
- Create kaleidoscopes
- Learn new ways to look at challenging situations
- Network with other homeschool parents
- Plan cross-curricular projects
- Integrate writing and art across the curriculum
- Increase your child’s enthusiasm about Science, Art and Mathematics activities
- Make a Kaleidoscope
- Develop a prototype invention to help solve a problem
Please register for our upcoming free STEAM workshop so we can be sure to have plenty of supplies ready for everyone. Registration is open to all Horizon Charter Schools’ families.
