Partners in Your Child’s Education
Homeschooling + Classes = the Best of Both Worlds
In addition to the courses available at our Learning Centers, students can take a variety of enrichment and elective classes provided by a vast array of local organizations in areas ranging from core subjects to visual and performing arts to physical education. With the increase in student funds available, your child now has the opportunity to explore an even wider variety of new and exciting interests, helping them to choose the path they want to take in life.
Is your child a budding author? Sign him up for a writing class and composition class to hone his skills and learn different styles of writing. Does she love animals? Enroll her in a horsemanship class where students learn not only to ride, but horse anatomy, care and feeding, and patience and understanding of the animal world. Are your children natural performers? Sign them up for acting, drama, dance, music or voice lessons. Do they love sports? Our partners have classes ranging from golf to martial arts to skating to baseball. We also have vendors who teach traditional skills like sewing and offer core subjects and tutoring. Parent-Driven Educational Resources
Our vendor list is parent-driven, meaning vendors are added at your request. Once your child is enrolled at Horizon Charter Schools, if you don’t see a vendor or type of class you are looking for, you can contact us and we’ll do our best to add them to our list. All vendors are carefully screened to ensure your child has a good learning experience. As a bonus, many of our vendors cater to homeschool families, so your child has the advantage of being with other children whose parents value a quality education through personalized learning.
