LMCC is a unique program that merges both public school standards requirements with the principles and ideology of the Montessori philosophy.

Who might be a good candidate for this program: If you are interested in a K-8 educational approach that incorporates the popular Montessori teaching philosophy, multi-grade classroom design, and five days a week of direct instruction in a small classroom environment then you might consider this program.
What personal qualities will be needed to be successful in this program: Students enrolled in this program are expected to be responsible, respectful, curious, and have a sincere desire to learn. Successful students are self starters, independent and enjoy collaborative work.
What outcomes can I expect: Upon graduation students will be independent learners, will have developed good character traits, be creative, will be well prepared for high school and will have learned to enjoy innovative challenge.
What are the next steps: The Lincoln Montessori program enrolls students in lottery fashion. Complete a school application and mark the box labeled Montessori. Once any necessary paperwork has been submitted, you will receive a phone call for a brief interview, followed by a possible invitation to visit the campus.
Program Description: LMCC incorporates the Montessori teaching philosophy as part of the instructional approach. Its philosophy encourages the individual student to discover his/her innate unique potential.
LMCC utilizes a diverse set of Montessori materials, activities and experiences that are designed to cultivate physical, intellectual, creative and social exploration. LMCC is a site based, fully accredited program and welcomes and encourages parental involvement. Children typically work in small group and use hand-on learning approaches. Each classroom is multi-grade which allows for peer teaching and spontaneous social interaction.
