What personal qualities will be needed to be successful in this program: Students enrolled in this program are respectful, independent workers, curious, and have a sincere desire to learn.
What outcomes can I expect: Students enrolled in these classes will benefit from instruction from diverse resources, will be able to increase their social experiences, and will be eager to take advantage of new learning environments.
What are the next steps: If you are currently enrolled in a Horizon Charter School, contact your Supervising Teacher (ST), if not, contact the RISE Site Administrator for information about enrollment.
Program Description: RISE offers home study students in grades K-12 an opportunity to learn from credentialed teachers in a classroom environment two days a week. Classes are designed to be about one and a half hours in length and will include a variety of work assignments to be completed at home with parent direction and support. Classes include both standards-based curriculum and elective choices. Field trips and events are also planned as part of the curriculum design.
